1912 dress diary collars

The main reason I called this "Changable as the sea" is the collar that changes look of the outfit, and can be worn alone or layered.the white one can go over or under the shirtwaist,with or without the blue collar.

Here my underwear a set of combinations made from 22" beading fabric.

the top was made from the patter shown at top .Two keyhole shaped pieces were cutout,this was made awile ago and needed to be reduced in size to fit my edwardian dress form(which I also made).I put seams in the back for a better fit and took some out of the front.I then added a wide(6") bias strip to gather the open drawers to.It has no buttons and ties on with ribbon at neck,waist and hip.

These dress diarys are really not in any order because I suck at them.The patterns are fromThe american garment cutting for women book.I'm not sure what the blue moire taffeta in made from but pretty sure it's a natural fiber over cotton,it was a lovely.99 cent a yard(I've had this in my stash for  7+ years),had about four yards.the print is cotton 2.99 a yard only had 1 1/3 yards(bought for this project) the elelet I think was ^.99 a yard (about a year old)Only had a yard and 1/3 of this but I streched it.The skirt is having pressing issues,the fabric does not want to stay pressed.the skirt is fastned with six 3/4" covered buttons(one's under the belt)The loops are made from a strio of fabric with a piece of elastic inside.

this is the belt for my entry for my in your wardrobe unlock'ds DPP in which I choose 1912,then took forever to choose what I wanted to make.I tried to much with not enough time.didn't start till after christmas.The belt is the last thing I made,I thought the lace balanced out the tassels.The belt fastens with a skirt hook and then the pouch slides over it to hide the fastening.

I at least got one collar done,I think.I may change the hook and eye fastner to a bias tube bow.Needs additional pressing.
